Synopsis:
They say opposites attract, but this is just ridiculous.

Aubry Kaiser doesn’t like people—actually, that’s not right. She loathes people. With her crippling anxiety, there’s no way she can demo her favorite video game at a convention with five thousand other people. Maybe if she brings someone to act as a shield…

But the only person available is the sexy cowboy she can’t stand.

Quinn Baldwyn is in a mess of his own. He’s been dodging his wealthy family’s matchmaking attempts—and life advice—for years, but with his sister’s wedding on the horizon, he needs of a shield of his own.

He and Aubry can barely hold down a civil conversation, but in bed…fireworks. And the closer they get to Quinn’s sister’s wedding, the more he realizes that he might actually like Aubry.

Now it’s up to him to convince her she might actually like him, too.

My Rating:
5 out of 5 stars

My Review:
Aubry isn't exactly what you would call a people person.  She has social anxiety and can't handle crowds.  She's a hard core gamer and one of the best, so she gets invited to attend a convention to test out the latest version of her favorite game.  Her snarky attitude is just a defense mechanism to cover up her insecurities.

Quinn is your typical sweet-talking cowboy.  He can charm anyone he talks to...except for Aubry.  They are like oil and water.  They love getting under each other's skin.  Quinn needs a date for his sister's wedding, so he doesn't have to deal with the women his wealthy parents are throwing at him.  Aubry's friend comes up with the idea for Quinn to be Aubry's shield at the convention, and for Aubry to be his shield at the wedding.

I loved how sweet and caring Quinn was with Aubry's panic attacks and social anxiety issues.  There were a lot of super steamy scenes between the two but I thought the author did a great job of letting the feelings build between the two of them.  They were such complete opposites that it was interesting seeing them together.  I have to say I absolutely loved that sweet epilogue too.  So perfect!
