Life Lately:
I wasn't able to join Stacking the Shelves or Sunday Post last week because it was my mom's wedding weekend, so I've got some catching up to do with everyone!  My mom had a great weekend and was sooo happy!  It was nice.  My husband took photos for her and we are going to make a dvd slideshow for her and have them all printed out for her album.

Sooo...I finally gave in to the pull of books, books, and more books. lol!  I was trying so hard not to go crazy with requesting new ebooks to review, or on buying any new ones until I read more from my TBR list/Backlist... well, I failed. lol!  As you can see from the above books. lol!  You can never have too many books, right?!  To be fair, my list from above is from the past two weeks since I missed the link up last week. lol!

On the blogging side of things, I have a post scheduled for every day this month (except for weekends)!  That is definitely a first for me and it feels great.  I don't feel so rushed or anxious to get something written or posted and it gives me more time to visit other blogs, and read.  I'm excited

    1. Thanks so much! This is the first time that I've had so many posts scheduled in advance. It's great tho, because I've been slacking the past couple days. lol The second book in the series with Starflight is coming out soon so I think they put the book on sale so people could catch up before it comes out. lol. Hope you have a great weekend too, and thanks for stopping by! Going to go check out your list now!

  16. Oh, we also have Blood Rose Rebellion in common, besides Mask of Shadows. I just finished that one -- I'll be sure to look for your thoughts on it later.

I have never seen it before but I loove the title of Optimists Die First. The cover is pretty cute, for a doom-filled title, lol.

I am kinda surprised but I have heard from so many people that Frostblood is fun and shippy. I also liked Emmy and Oliver -- such a cute YA contemp.

Great mix of genres and adult/YA! Looks like you have plenty to keep you busy for a while :)

    1. oh man I cut off half my comment.

Aww! So many congrats to your mom! So cool that your husband was the photographer :)

And like you, I always tell myself to have self control when it comes to ARCs and requesting. Like I will finally get ahead of my queue and then go download 7new ones, lol. It's a problem.

  17. Julie! I've been terrible at blogging this week, but I wanted to pop around to see if you'd updated on the wedding and I'm so glad to hear all went well! I'm so glad your mom was so happy!

Your book haul made me chuckle 😂. I've been getting more books than I've been reading lately (although not hard with my current read count) and I need to stop again for a while.

I too got Mask of Shadows and I'm excited for that! I can't wait to see what you think of some of those books.

Hope you're doing well and that your headaches aren't bothering you right now. Also hope the little one is well! Did she enjoy the wedding?

Have a great weekend and catch up again soon!

    1. Thank you so much! I really appreciate that. My husband and are are working on making a photo slideshow dvd with their song playing in the background right now. lol!

I was doing really good with keeping ahead on my reading but I think I slacked a little this week. I don't have to play catch up quite yet but if I don't get my butt in gear then it will soon be a different story. lol!

So glad you got Mask of Shadows too. That means we can compare thoughts!

Unfortunately the headaches and migraines are still kicking my butt, which is also contributing to my slower reading lately. I'm not sure if it's this up and down weather or what. Frustrating!

Our daughter liked seeing everyone dressed up at the wedding. lol! She's a tomboy but loves dressed...if that makes any sense.

Hope you have a great weekend too! Thanks so much for stopping by! Love our chats <3

    2. Oh no! I'm sorry your headaches are still such an issue. :( I hope it settles out soon.

I bet your mom will adore the slideshow!

Your explanation of your daughter makes total sense - mine is similar although she has to be in the right mood for dresses. She loves dancing and twirling in them and looking pretty, but it also has to be on her terms.

I love our chats too and will catch up again soon!
