Happy St. Patrick's Day (one day late)!!  I hope you all had a fun and safe holiday.  My husband and I don't do too much for it anymore.  I've done the bar crawls and things years ago but I think I'm over that phase. lol!  I actually don't drink at all anymore because alcohol seems to be a trigger for my migraines.  I made some fun crafts with my daughter tho!

Last week I asked you all if I should start sharing my art on my blog, and I got an overwhelmingly positive response (thank you so much for all of the wonderful comments!! I appreciate them more than you know).  Since everyone said they thought it was a great idea, I will be sharing a post next week with some book/tv show inspired art!  Psst....If you love Game of Thrones then be sure to stop by!  For now, I think I'm going to keep my art posts to once a month.

Recently on my blog:
Traveler by L.E. DeLano - Review & Giveaway
Queens of Geek by Jen Wilde - Review & Giveaway

Coming up next on the blog:
Faking Perfect by Rebecca Phillips - Review
Books I Couldn't Put Down
The Storm by R.J. Prescott - Release Day Blitz & Giveaway
Waiting On Wednesday
Walk of Shame by Lauren Layne - Excerpt & Giveaway

    1. Thanks so much! My husband and I were just talking about how funny it was that things have changed so much. I was really social and went out all the time, and now I'm a big homebody. lol! Hope you have a great week!

    1. Thanks so much! I'm really excited (and nervous) to start sharing my art with everyone. I'm starting with the stuff I've already done for now and trying to get myself motivated to create some more. Hope you have a great week!

  3. I've never done anything for St Patrick's Day even in my student days. I'm not one for holidays really. I don't celebrate any of them now including stuff like birthdays! Enjoy your books!

    1. Aww really? I've always been a big holiday person. I think my mom started it. She made a huge deal out of just about all of them, so I think that's why I love them so much now. Thanks, and I hope you have a great week, and read some good books!

  4. Blind Attraction and Bad Judgement sound yummy.. ;) and I'm curious about On Point as well, I've been looking for a great M/M romance. :)
I can't wait to read your reviews. I hope you enjoy them.

    1. I love my MM romances! If you are looking for a good MM romance series, I love the Cyberlove series by Megan Erickson & Santino Hassell! Or My favorite ever is Him by Sarina Bowen!

Thanks! I hope you have a great week!

  5. Yes! Share all the artwork! I can't wait to see more.

Maybe it's because my entire family (and I?) is foreign, but St. Patrick's Day has never been a "holiday" in my house! Now that I'm of a legal age to drink, you'd think I'd be into the holiday... nope! LOL.

Your books are all new to me! Tapping the Billionaire looks like one I might try - he's so happy (and SO ab-y)! :D

Enjoy all of your new books! Have a wonderful weekend, Julie. =)

    1. The cover for Tapping the Billionaire is the main reason I picked it up! lol! So good!

My family is a weird mix of Native American, Slovak, and Irish. lol! I've always wanted to try one of those ancestry kits to find out exactly where we are from. I think it would be fun.

Hope you have a great week too, Alyssa!

  6. Ooh, I can't wait to see the art!! SOUNDS SO MUCH FUN! And honestly no one in my family even remembered it was St Patrick's Day hahah, except my mum made lime muffins coincidentally so we kind of were winning there for the sort of green thing happening?!😜

    1. Thanks so much! I'm excited (and super nervous!) to show 2 of my watercolor painting next week. I haven't been motivated to create anything new lately, so I thought this might be a good way to motivate myself.

haha yes, I think the lime muffins count! My daughter and I did some crafts but that was about it. I'm not really much of a partier anymore. I'm a homebody. lol

Hope you have a great week!

  7. When I was a bartender, it was such a fun holiday. Those times are in the past and I don't drink anymore either. Afraid of the hangover. LOL

    1. I did some bartending jobs too and I remember it being a lot of fun too. I don't think I ever worked a St. Patrick's Day tho. I definitely did the bar hopping things with my friends many times tho. The hangovers started coming too often and now if I even have a sip of alcohol, I get a migraine, so it's not worth it anymore. I would much rather have a relaxing night nowadays. lol!

  8. My best friend's birthday is the day after St. Patrick's Day so we used to go out and have a blast when we were younger. I might drink a beer every once in a while but the days of actually going out to bars are over for me. Enjoy your new books. I haven't read an Annabeth Albert story in a while so I look forward to your review.

    1. Aww that's cool. My Pop Pop's birthday was on St. Patty's Day, so I think when he passed away it kind of soured me a little on it. We were really close. I sometimes wish I could have a drink at the end of a stressful day, but it's not worth it for me to chance it because migraines are awful. I'm not a bar person anymore. I was in my early twenties tho. Annabeth Albert is one of my auto-buy/auto-request authors. I love most of her books. Hope you have a great week!

  9. We don't ever celebrate St. Patrick's day in Switzerland, but it's fun to see pictures from places where people do the party and green beer :)
It sounds like you had a great week, and I look forward to seeing your art!
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading - those new additions to your shelf look really good.

    1. Yeah, they make a huge deal out of St. Patty's Day here in Pittsburgh. I used to go out and celebrate with the huge crowd but I think I grew out of that phase. lol! I'm not really into huge crowds now. I'm super excited (and nervous) to share my art next week. I think it will be a good way to motivate me to keep creating more tho.

Hope you have a great week!

  10. I did a kid celebration of St. Patrick's Day in our Kindergarten class. We had mischievous Leprechauns leave a mess (and gold chocolate coins!). The kids also made leprechaun face hats, complete with orange beards. What a day! I entered your contest for Queen of Geek. That book looks really fun! Have an excellent week.

    1. That sounds like so much fun! I love making crafts with my daughter. We try to do at least one a week. I hope you win the giveaway for Queens of Geek. I really loved that one. It's probably my favorite read of the year so far. Hope you have a great week too!

  11. My best friend's birthday is March 18th, so throughout college we always celebrated on St. Patricks day because there was always something fun to do. But, now that we are older, we don't celebrate anyone's birthdays any more so no going out for us!
    Enjoy your reads!

  14. I'm still on maternity leave and now with three kids, I didn't even remember to wear green!! I'm only 31, but dang it if I even remember what it's like to be in a bar! I don't drink much anymore either. It just makes me sleepy. And I'm already always sleepy with a 6, 2 and newborn. Have a great week - and enjoy all those freebies!! Lauren - Obsessive Book Nerd

    1. haha! I definitely know what you mean. I'm 32 and I have a 4 year old daughter. I haven't seen the inside of a bar in years! lol! When I tried drinking a couple years ago, I would get really sleepy too. lol Hope you have a great week too!

  15. Making sure my daughter wore some green to school was about the extent of my recognition of St. Patrick's Day. LOL I used to love the Andes Mint shakes this time of year at Jack and Box until they got rid of them. Maybe I should learn to make my own . . .

I hope you enjoy your week and your new books (The Spy Who Left Me sounds really good--I'll have to check that one out)!

    1. haha yeah, I dropped the ball on wearing green this year. I usually try but I didn't this year. The Andes Mint shake sounds really good! I love Junior Mints. I always got those at the movie theater. lol

I thought The Spy Who Left Me sounded really good too! I can't wait to read all of these new ones. I hope you get to check out that one too!

  16. I've never done anything for St. Patty's Day. And yeah I don't drink because why add more problems to my body? Haha. The crafts sound fun though! And you should definitely share your art! I can't wait to see it when you post it :-) Have a great week!

  18. Julie - that's a pretty small incoming pile for you!!! ;) Well done!

St. Patrick's was also a super quiet affair here - literally NOTHING happened which is different! In years past the community normally all gets together and dresses up and we do the green drinks - but I think it was forgotten about this year!!

Julie - I CANNOT WAIT to see your art. I'm sad there was no more of it this week! I'll definitely be stopping by to check it out and I LOVE GoT!!! :D So I'll be doubly happy!

Hope you have a lovely week!

    1. I've been trying not to request too many since I feel like I've been a bit behind in my reading.

We had a really relaxed St. Patty's Day too. Just some little crafts with my daughter, which is always fun.

Thanks so much, Di! I'm super nervous but also really excited to show my art next week.

Hope you have a great week too!
