April 2017 Book Releases

Monday, April 3, 2017

There are so many books that I am looking forward to in April!  I've been on a Young Adult kick lately so I listed mostly YA titles.  Some of these I was lucky enough to get an ARC of, but I am anxiously awaited the release date of a few of these other titles.

(all links take you to Goodreads description)
*At First Blush by Beth Ellyn Summer (April 4th)
*The Thing About Love by Julie James (April 18th)

I put a * next to all titles that I have an ARC of.  The #1 title on this list that I am looking forward to is, Spindle Fire.  I remember when I first saw it on Goodreads and knew I had to have it.  I didn't get approved for an ARC, but I will definitely be buying that one as soon as I can!

What books are you looking forward to in April?

  1. April is always an AWESOME month for YA books!! I really really want to read Letters to the Lost because I've been hearing a lot of good things about it-- plus it totally sounds like a "me" book. My #1 book for this month is a book called Lucky Girl by Amanda Maciel. She wrote a book called Tease a few years ago and I've been DYING to read something else from her ever since. Also, Bang by Barry Lyga because I loved The Jasper Dent (I Hunt Killers) series.

PS-- I didn't know you were from Western PA!! I love finding more bloggers from my area!

    1. I will definitely have to check out Lucky Girl. I don't think I've heard of that one yet. I've been hearing a lot about Bang tho! That one does sound like it's going to be really good.

Yayy!! I love finding bloggers that are from around the same area too. I haven't found too many yet. lol!

    1. It really is a great release month! So many great looking ones. I've read a few of my ARCs from this list already. I really enjoyed Geekerella and The Thing About Love! I'm starting Meg & Linus today. I had to DNF Given to the Sea....unfortunately it just wasn't for me. The Upside of Unrequited has been getting great reviews. I hope I get to check that one out soon. Thanks, Brittany!

    1. I really enjoyed Geekerella! It thought it was really cute. I still haven't gotten around to reading Zenn Diagram but I'm excited about it. It sounds really good. Spindle Fire is one that I've been really excited about for a while now. I love fairy tale retellings and you don't see too many about Sleeping Beauty

    1. I think next year I may try to focus on more of my Backlist than the new releases, but we will see if I change my mind before then. lol. I have over 450 books just waiting for me on my Kindle and physical books waiting for me on my shelves, so I definitely wouldn't be bored. LOL

  7. I have a dire need for Defy the Stars. The cover is one reason but I am such a sucker for science fiction lately. Especially YA!

I had also been curious about At First Blush... but I saw your review and don't think that one will be for me, after all. So thanks for that, lol!

Happy reading your ARCs! I will be v curious for Given to Sea thoughts.

    1. I really REALLY want to get my hands on Defy the Stars too! I love that cover, and I've also been loving YA lately.

LOL. Yeah, sorry about that. haha! There's a chance you would enjoy it more than I did tho!

I actually ended up DNF-ing Given to the Sea. I don't do that often but this book was rage inducing for me. LOL! It drove me really crazy.

    1. Geekerella was a lot of fun. It's a great read if you are okay with something a little cheesy and light. I've heard a lot of great things about Letter to the Lost! Hope you love it when you get a chance to read it!
