Life lately:
I am trying (again!) not to request too many books because I went a bit overboard the past couple weeks and I need to play catch up.  I would also really like to get some books on my backlist read, which I haven't read any of this month...oops!

The weather has been gorgeous this week so I've been trying to get outside to enjoy it more.  We had a couple of cool thunder/lightning storms too.  I love storm watching.  I find it really relaxing.  I've also been watching a lot of hockey since my team is in the playoffs.  Go Pens!! lol!

This weekend I'm going to try to start some of my spring cleaning that I've been wanting to get done.  My husband and I are going to finish a landscaping project in front of our house that we actually started last spring and never finished.  We're slackers. lol!  I also want to tackle our mess in the basement.  It's taken a beating after all of the holidays.  We store everything down there but none of it is organized anymore.  I plan to get bags of  my daughter's old clothes toys together to donate too.  Lots and lots of projects... we'll see how many I actually get done tho. lol!

  1. When the weather improves we suddenly feel the urge to get lots of projects done! I'm the same at the moment. We're starting the next phase of the garden which I'm dreading but want to get out of the way and the house clearing seems never ending! Lots of visits to the charity shops coming soon...have a good weekend!

    1. Yeah, it's looking like I may not get to start any outside projects this weekend because it's supposed to rain all day, so I guess I'll have to start with the inside stuff instead. lol I have soooo much stuff to go through. I'm not looking forward to it at all. Hope you are able to start some of your projects too! Hope you have a great weekend too!

I've been loving the nice weather. I got so much outside yard work done yesterday. Hope you have a great week too!

  5. I'm weird because I LOVE rain storms and thunder and lightning! There is something about walking around in a heavy downpour - with an umbrella, raincoat, and rain boots, of course. I must have my rain boots on. :D I see you got that new Layne book! I want to try Walk of Shame, it looks great. I hope you enjoy all of your new books, Julie!

    Have a great weekend. =)

    1. Me too! I love watching the storms. My husband and I sit out on our porch and watch them together. lol! I decided to give Lauren Layne another try. I've loved so many of her other books so I'm thinking the couple books that I didn't enjoy were just flukes. lol! I've heard great things about Walk of Shame. Thanks, Alyssa!

Hope you're having a great weekend!

  7. I love watching storms (as long as they don't get too crazy lol) but yeah there's something relaxing about hearing the rain come down and the thunder. I even have a thunderstorm CD I bought in some store, it's kinda cool. And I hear you on landscaping- that never seems to end. The winter did a number on mine. :(

Hide and Seek looks freaky and fun! And LEt's Get Lost I think looks like a good one too.

  8. Oh...Lauren Layne! I haven't seen that one on NetGalley yet but definitely want to readit. I used to love storm watching but my youngest dog freaks out with them so I kind of dread them now. Good luck on your project and enjoy your new books!

    1. I really love Lauren Layne so I can't wait to check it out! Sorry to hear that your dog is so scared of them. My friend's dog is like that too. She found that putting a t-shirt on him helped him for some reason?? Thanks Carole, hope you're having a great week!
