In this new contemporary from YA star Kasie West, a girl who wins the lottery learns that money can cause more problems than it solves, especially when love comes into the picture.

Maddie doesn't believe in luck. She's all about hard work and planning ahead. But one night, on a whim, she buys a lottery ticket. And then, to her astonishment --

She wins!

In a flash, Maddie's life is unrecognizable. No more stressing about college scholarships. Suddenly, she's talking about renting a yacht. And being in the spotlight at school is fun... until rumors start flying, and random people ask her for loans. Now, Maddie isn't sure who she can trust.

Except for Seth Nguyen, her funny, charming coworker at the local zoo. Seth doesn't seem aware of Maddie's big news. And, for some reason, she doesn't want to tell him. But what will happen if he learns her secret?

With tons of humor and heart, Kasie West delivers a million-dollar tale of winning, losing, and falling in love.

Why I'm waiting: I'm a sucker for swoon-worthy, light-hearted romances and I hear Kasie West is the queen of those.  I own The Fill-In Boyfriend from this author but I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet.  I've seen a few early reviews and they seem pretty positive so I'm excited about this one.  Also, Kasie West has the most adorable covers for her books ever! lol

What books are you waiting for?

  1. I love Kasie West and am pumped for this book. The cover is super adorable :)

    1. I STILL haven't gotten around to reading a Kasie West book! I really need to change that before the end of summer!

  2. I read this a couple of months ago. I liked it better than some of KW's recent books, but it wasn't as good as her first few books for me. It was cute though. I hope you enjoy it! :)

    1. Glad you didn't dislike it but sorry it wasn't a fav! I own The Fill-In Boyfriend but still haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I definitely want to pick up P.S. I Like You tho because that seems to be everyone's favorite! Thanks, Nick!
