One kinky wood carver. One younger chef looking to try new things. A series of lessons that bring both men more than they bargained for…

Curtis Hunt has made a name for himself as a chainsaw wood carver, winning national competitions and operating a small business in Rainbow Cove, Oregon. As winter whittles away his tourist traffic, his goal is just to survive the season and try to not get lost in grief for his dead lover. It’s been two years, but he’s sure he’ll never be over the love of a lifetime. However, his body has a certain restlessness that he doesn’t quite know how to calm.

Logan Rosner knows a thing or two about restlessness. It’s what drove him to Rainbow Cove to be a chef at a bar and grill run by his friends. And it’s what drives him to a single sizzling encounter with the local legendary lumberjack. Both men get far more than they expected and learn that first impressions aren’t always accurate…

But when Logan proposes a series of sexy lessons, Curtis must decide how much he’s willing to risk. He knows he can’t afford to get attached to Logan’s good cooking, his easy smiles, or his caretaking, but he keeps going back for more, even as deeper emotions become involved. Soon, Curtis must decide whether to risk his heart again or risk losing Logan for good.

Why I'm waiting: Okay, I have to be honest, I really hate the covers for the books in this series so far. haha!  That being said, Annabeth Albert is another one of those authors that I will read just about anything from.  I really enjoyed the first book in the series and I'm excited to see some of the other characters get their HEAs.

What books are you excited about?

  2. Yeah the cover is not doing it for me either. I hate it when good books get lame-oh covers because you know so many will skip on them. I hope you'll love this one when you get around to reading it! :)

    1. Yeah, I am really guilty of skipping out on books because I didn't love their covers. The only reason I ended up picking this ones up was because I knew the author. lol. Thanks, Nick!

    1. I hope you end up loving it if you do give it a try. Sometimes Annabeth Albert is hit or miss for me but I still pick up almost every one of her books. I liked the previous one in this series a lot tho. Thanks Aneta Bak!

  4. I need to read the first one, but this sounds wonderful too! I'm not a HUGE fan of the covers - but they aren't too bad. Granted, I'll read anything by this author.

    1. Yeah, the covers aren't absolutely horrible...I just don't like them for some reason. I'm not even sure what it is about them I don't like. I also read anything from AA. lol! Thanks Lauren!
