My August TBR List

Tuesday, August 1, 2017

If you've been hanging around my blog for the past month or so you may have noticed that I haven't been getting any new ARCs lately.  I've been trying to catch up on my current ARCs and read more books that I already own.  I own A LOT of really great sounding books but I haven't had time to pick some of them up because they always get pushed aside for the newer books.  My goal for August is to  try to focus on knocking more books off of my backlist/shelves.  I've tried to make a list for myself because I do well with lists/goals, but we'll see how it goes because I am very much a mood reader. lol!  I picked 15 titles (we'll see if I can manage that!) and 9 of them are backlist titles! Whew!  Let's do this!

My Tentative TBR List for August:
(books with *s are titles in my backlist)

Books that I've already read and have reviews scheduled for in August:

..and just for fun!
5 August Releases I'm Excited About:

  1. Afraid I don't read those kinds of books so I haven't even heard of them! I can do themed reading or mood reading so I'm kind of lucky that way. I can read to schedule or just wing it!

    1. haha yeah, I know romances aren't normally you're thing. You're really lucky that you aren't a mood reader like me. lol! I have a calendar where I make down book release dates, so I try to get them read before that date. It's hard to get motivated when I'm not in the mood for that kind of book

    1. I've heard a lot of great things about We Are Still Tornadoes, so I really need to check that one off of my list. It's an old NetGalley title that I've pushed aside for way too long. I really want to finish the Lunar Chronicles before the end of the year so I can start something new. lol! I've been enjoying it so far too. Thanks, Grace!

  3. I haven't heard of the majority of these books before so I'm looking forward to your reviews of them! I keep meaning to catch-up on the Lunar Chronicles series but I still haven't gotten around to it - one of these days! I'm really looking These Things I've Done too! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my library gets a copy in. Happy reading! :)

    1. haha! Yeah, there are a lot of "older" titles on this list. I started the Lunar Chronicles back in Jan. but I haven't gotten to pick the next one up yet. I was so behind on ARCs that I couldn't work it into my schedule. I'm trying to change that these next couple months. I should check my library for These Things I've Done. I'm really curious about that one. Thanks, Lauren!
